RMTs in Ontario are regulated health professionals who are required by their governing body to ensure that hands on treatment is safe and effective for their patients. All practitioners work slightly different than each other, and timing may vary slightly by a few minutes here and there, though we do our best to manage appointment times accurately. Treatment lengths include health history intake and interview regarding changes/updates to conditions, orthopedic testing and assessment (verbal, palpation), hands-on treatment time and home care recommendations, and questions and answer period. Some of our RMTs provide more detailed assessment periods during an initial appointment, which is included in your treatment time. If you want to know more about our therapists and have questions about how they structure their sessions, please contact us here
Your appointment time is reserved just for you. A late cancellation or missed visit leaves a hole in the therapists’ day that could have been filled by another patient. With the massive challenges we’ve collectively faced due to the pandemic and ongoing life challenges, we are now implementing a new policy surrounding last-minute cancellations due to unforeseen circumstances (i.e. TTC delays, lack of childcare, and anything that isn’t patient illness or family emergency). A compassion fee for these instances will be reduced to 50% of your treatment time, which we deeply respect you honouring. Our practitioners have faced a severe reduction in their incomes over the last 3 years, and without your support and respect for their time, would face even more hardship.
JANUARY 1-SEPTEMBER 30, we require **24 HOURS** notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
OCTOBER 1-DECEMBER 31 is our busiest season. During this time we require **48 HOURS** notice for any cancellations or changes to your appointment.
Patients who provide less than the required notice, or miss their appointment, will be charged a cancellation fee to the card on file.
Please email us as soon as possible if you need to change or cancel your booking and are unable to do so because you are within the fee-window.
Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support!
* Missed appointment fees are not covered by most extended insurance policies.
