Public Health

With the changes to how we keep our practitioners and patients safe, we have still decided to maintain our masking policy, and our sanitation procedures. Here’s how we continue to keep our clinics safe for everyone:

Book by email

We use one of the most user-friendly and secure booking sites available in Canada. Click “Book Now” to reserve your appointment at either of our Toronto locations.

Pre-screening

All practitioners and patients will be screened for signs, symptoms, and risk of infectious illness’ before booking and again upon arrival for your treatment.

Hand sanitizing

Hand sanitizing (or hand washing stations) is mandatory upon arrival.

Practitioner masks

All practitioners will be wearing disposable surgical masks for the entire duration of their shift

Patient masks

All patients will be wearing a mask — please ask us for a surgical mask if you are wearing cloth upon arrival.

Spaced-out appointments

Appointments will be spaced out more, staggered, to avoid crossing paths. Please don’t arrive more than 5 minutes early for your appointment.

Water bottle

No tea or water is available. Please bring your own refreshments.

We continue to monitor updates from public health officials and promote the most up-to-date protocols.

What are we STILL doing in our practice?

We’ve learned that these protocols have reduced any spread of illness’ between our staff and patients, keeping our families healthier and ensuring that all immunocompromised folks feel safe in our clinics.

We continue to:

  • Conduct patient and practitioner screening for symptoms of communicable illness.
  • Abide by PPE protocols (masks are mandatory still in our space. We honour our immunocompromised patients, staff and family by doing this small deed to keep people healthy).
  • A change in treatment materials and removal of items that can’t be thoroughly disinfected.

Making appointments

Making appointments

Once we book your appointment, you will receive a pre-screening tool via email the day before your appointment. Please complete this prior to coming to the clinic – this will confirm whether or not treatment is safe. The screening will be saved on your medical file with our clinic, and it will be reviewed and updated for each subsequent visit.

Your therapist will be diligent in protecting you, themselves and our community – please be honest with any and all symptoms.

Planning your visit

  • Please be punctual but only arrive 5 mins early! Our appointments will be carefully scheduled to avoid cross-over with other patients.
  • Please arrive alone (contact us if this is not possible). We will only be allowing patients into the clinic.
  • Please note that you are required to wear a clean surgical mask to the clinic and will be wearing it for the duration of the treatment. We will have extras on-hand if you need one.
  • Please do bring your own water or refreshments. Our water and tea service is not available at this time.

When you arrive

Wait outside

Please wait outside. Your practitioner will open the door for you when they are ready (do not knock, as other treatments may be in progress)

Hand sanitizing

Use hand sanitizer upon entry or go to the laundry sink to wash your hands – we will have single-use cloths to dry hands.

Direct to treatment room

We will bring you directly into the treatment room to avoid the reception and waiting area.

Treatment

  • Your practitioner will conduct a second symptoms screening with you
  • Your practitioner will also have completed a screening prior to arrival
  • Tablets will be used to receive signatures re: ongoing consent and screening – your therapist will then sanitize the tablet once used.
  • You must keep your mask on during intake and treatment
  • Your practitioner will also wear their mask during intake and treatment
  • Some treatments give you the option to remove your mask for specific techniques, including TMJ work, facial acupuncture and craniosacral treatments.

Payment

Online payments
  • Online payment is still key!
  • We will no longer accept cash or Point of Sale payments (POS – the machine on site)
  • Payments must be made through our secure booking site, where we ask you to keep an active credit card on file or you can pay by email transfer.
  • Receipts will be emailed (with signatures), to reduce any paper transactions

Once you leave

Surfaces disinfected

All surfaces will be disinfected thoroughly

Linens laundered

All linens will be immediately laundered

Safety measures

Our practitioners will continue to practice social distancing and public safety measures
